NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is conducted every year, in two stages – Stage I at the State-level and Stage II at the National-level. The state-level test is conducted by the State Authority while the National level test is conducted by NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training). Powered with the mission to identify and nurture talent, NCERT invites students studying in class X to appear for NTSE 2018 in order to shortlist and award scholarships to deserving students till the Doctorate level of academic studies.

Telangana NTSE 2018: Question Paper

The NTSE Stage I question Paper is divided into 3 sections: Language Comprehension Test, Mental Ability Test, and Scholastic Ability test. The distribution of questions, the maximum Marks per section and time allotted for each of the sections in the Stage I Test is tabulated below:

Please note that each correct answer in NTSE Stage I carries 1 mark. There is no provision for negative marking in the state level test.

MAT and SAT sections in the NTSE Stage I question paper have multiple choice questions with 4 alternatives, the correct answer has to be marked on an OMR Sheet. The LCT section is qualifying in nature and the marks scored in this section is not added to the candidates’ total score or considered as a deciding factor in the final merit list. Telangana NTSE 2018: Answer Key

NTSE answer keys with the solutions to the complete question paper is published on the official website, by the examination authority soon after the exam is over. Candidates can verify their scores the official answer keys over the official website. The examination authority also allows candidates to challenge the answer key, backed by substantial proof. The exam conducting authority releases a final set of answer keys, after considering the objections raised by candidates. Based on this final answer key, the scores for the NTSE Results are charted. The purpose of the answer key is to help candidates to check their answers against those from the experts and draw a rough estimate of their scores and ranks in the test even before the NTSE results are declared. Telangana NTSE 2018 Result will have the following details printed on it:

  • Candidates’ Gender, Category & Physical Disability (if any)
  • Sectional Marks Secured in by candidates in LCT, MAT, & SAT
  • Total Score (MAT and SAT Marks taken together)
  • Rank Secured

Telangana NTSE 2018 Results are available to download on the official website Candidates can access their individual result in the following steps:

  • Visit Telangana NTSE official website
  • Click the NTSE Result 2018 tab on the homepage.
  • Enter candidate’s NTSE 2018 Roll Number.
  • The result will be displayed on-screen.
  • Download, save and obtain prints of the document for future reference.

Telangana NTSE 2018: Cut-Off Scores

Cut-Off Score is the minimum score that candidates are required to secure in NTSE Stage I in order to qualify for Stage II national-level exam. The cut-off scores are dependent on several factors like the total number of candidates appearing for the test, level of difficulty of the question paper, previous year’s cut-off scores etc. The scores are released soon after the declaration of results separately for each candidate category.
