National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national level Scholarship exam conducted for class X students every year. It is a 2-tier examination. Odisha NTSE stage I was organized on November 5, 2017. The result for stage I was released on February 2, 2018. The candidates who will qualify NTSE, will be eligible for scholarship till Doctorate level of academic studies.

  • First stage of this examination is conducted at state level (Stage I) and UT (Union Territory) level.
  • Second and final stage of this exam is conducted at National Level (Stage II) by NCERT.

Odisha NTSE: Question Paper 2018

NTSE consists of 3 sections - MAT (Mental Ability Test), SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) and LCT (Language Comprehension Test). The distribution of time and mark will be as follows:

For every correct answer, the candidate is awarded +1 while there isn’t any provision for negative marking.

  • Mental Ability Test (MAT) is the first section which contains 50 multiple choice questions. They are related to reasoning and critical thinking which is to be answered in 45 minutes. The questions may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figures etc.
  • Language Comprehension Test i.e. LCT is the second section having 50 multiple choice questions which could be answered in 45 minutes. This test is conducted in English and Odia Language. The candidates will get a choice to appear in only one of the two languages.
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is the third section which contains 100 multiple choice items in which 40 questions are from Science, 40 from Social Science and 20 questions from Mathematics. Time limit for this section is 90 minutes. Click Here NTSE Cut off 2018

Odisha NTSE 2018: Answer Key

The NTSE answer key 2018 will let the candidates verify the correct answers with the ones attempted by them. One can visit the official website to find the official answer key. One can also challenge the answer keys along with the proof. A final set of answer key is obtained and published by the authorities. All the candidates who appeared for NTSE Exam 2018 held on November 5, 2017 can follow the below given steps to check the result.

  • Click the NTSE Result 2018 tab on the homepage.
  • Enter candidate’s NTSE 2018 Roll Number.
  • The result will be displayed on-screen.
  • Download, save and obtain print of the document for future reference.

NTSE Cut off 2018

Candidates need to qualify the minimum cutoff marks in stage – 1 so as to qualify for stage II. It will be conducted by NCERT.
