NTSE Second Mock Test: Question Paper and Answer Key Released Online by PSEB on December 8

State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Punjab has announced that the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Second Mock test will be conducted on December 7 and 8, 2020. Because of the farmer’s protest, the mock test was further postponed and announced to be conducted on December 9, 2020.

Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released the question paper and answer key for the second mock test of NTSE on December 8, 2020, which is a day before the examination.

A total of 3,083 students from 232 government schools were studying class 10 in Punjab. Out of them, 2,993 students have appeared for the first National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) mock test.

Out of the 232 participating schools, 60 schools have secured scores between 80 and 90 percent, 204 schools have secured scores between 70 and 80 percent. Fourteen students have secured scores above 90 percent in the first mock test of NTSE.

Two students from Government Senior Secondary School, Cemetery Road named Nandani and Himani Sharma have secured 99 marks out of 100 marks. Both of them stated that their objective is to perform well in the second mock test which was previously scheduled to be held on December 6 and 7, 2020.

All the necessary arrangements and safety precautions were taken by the school authorities and students were accommodated in classrooms following the social distancing norms.

62 students from the Government Model Senior Secondary Smart School, Punjab Agricultural University have participated in the first mock test of NTSE. The school principal has appointed six teachers to check the OMR sheets so that the results could be compiled within an hour. 

Balwinder Kaur, the Nodal Officer of NTSE stated,We have received a good response, as the majority of students who have registered for the NTSE exam to be held on December 13, appeared in the mock test. The results have been prepared and students will be informed so that they can work on their weak areas to enhance their score in the next mock test.”
