The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Puducherry has declared the result of NTSE Puducherry 2018 on February 27. Candidates with their names in the merit list of NTSE Puducherry 2018 result are eligible to appear for the Stage 2 of NTSE 2018 scheduled to be held on May 13, 2018.

  • Along with the names of shortlisted candidates, NTSE Puducherry Result 2018 includes candidates' roll number and school name.
  • The number of students passed NTSE Puducherry stage 1 is 10.
  • The final result of NTSE will be declared in August. 

NTSE Puducherry​ 2018 Question Paper

NTS Examination Stage-I paper was divided into two parts: Part-I and Part-II.

Part-I is further divided into two sections: Language Comprehension Test(LCT), and Mental Ability Test (MAT), Part-II is Scholastic Ability Test(SAT). The question paper has multiple choice questions with 4 alternatives. Candidates have to mark the correct answer to each question on the OMR Sheet. Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark and there is no negative marking at this stage.

  • Candidates have to select one language from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, or French and English will be compulsory to solve the LCT section. However, the LCT section is qualifying in nature and the marks scored in this section are not additive to candidates’ total score. LCT score plays no role in the final state-level merit list.
  • Mental Ability Test(MAT) section tests the ability of candidates to judge their power of reasoning, ability to think, evaluate and discriminate, spatial orientation, etc.
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test assesses candidates’ academic knowledge from  the subjects of Science(Physics, Chemistry and Biology), Mathematics,  and Social Studies(History, Geography, Political Science and Economics)

NTSE Puducherry​ 2018 – Answer Key

Directorate of School Education, Puducherry will release NTSE answer keys for Stage-I along with the solutions for Stage-I on its official website, after the examination is concluded. The main focus of the answer key is to help candidates check their answers and get an idea of the marks they might score.

  • Candidates can download their answer(OMR) sheet from the website and compare their responses which they submitted with the official answer key.
  • Candidates can also challenge the provisional answer key. The challenge must be backed by a substantial proof. 
  • The final answer key is released along with NTSE Stage-I Results.

How to Check Puducherry NTSE 2018 Result?

Candidates can find below the steps to check the result of Puducherry NTSE 2018:

  1. Log in to the official website of Puducherry NTSE 2018.
  2. Click on NTSE 2018 Result.
  3. Now enter your roll number, date of birth(mm/dd/yy), and the captcha code.
  4. The result will appear on the screen.
  5. Download and take a printout of the result and save a copy for future reference.

NTSE Puducherry​ 2018 Cut Off

DSE, Puducherry released the cutoff for NTSE 2018 on January 30, 2018, along with the result of Stage-I.

The merit list of 10 successful candidates who met the cut off criteria was also released on the same date. 

The minimum marks which a candidate must score in all the three papers, viz. MAT, SAT, and LC to be eligible for NTSE Stage-II are given below:

Puducherry NTSE 2018 Cut Off Score is the minimum number candidates must score in order to qualify for Stage II exam. The cut off depends on the various factors like:

  • Regulation of DSE, Pondicherry
