NTSE 2018 West Bengal Question Paper, Answer key, Result, Cut off

State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), West Bengal has declared the stage 1 result of NTSE on February 22, 2018. NTSE 2018 was conducted by all states and Union Territories on November 4 and 5, 2017.

  • West Bengal NTSE 10th Result 2018 has been declared by the School Education Department, West Bengal along with the cut off.
  • Total 295 students have qualified the exam.
  • The National Talent Search Exam Stage 1 of West Bengal was conducted successfully on November 5.
  • Candidates who have qualified stage 1 will have to appear for stage 2 of the examination which will be conducted by NCERT on May 13, 2018.

West Bengal NTSE 2018 – Question Pattern

There are three parts of this NTSE Exam. Part-I is Mental Ability Test, Part-II is Scholastic Aptitude Test (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics) and PART-III is Language Test (English / Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali).

Mental Ability Test: This Part-I question paper will contain 50 MCQ type questions and each question carries 1 mark. Total time allowed for this Part is 45 minutes (10:30 AM to 11:15 AM). There is no any Negative Marking for wrong attempts.

Scholastic Aptitude Test: On Part-II, questions will come from Mathematics (20 questions), Physics (13 questions), Chemistry (13 questions), Biology (14 questions), History (12 questions), Geography (12 questions), Political Science (8 questions) and Economics (8 questions) subjects. Total marks for this paper is 100 and time allowed 90 minutes (01:30 PM to 3:00 PM). There also no negative marking for the wrong attempt and all the questions are MCQ Type.

Language Test (English / Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali): On this Language Test part, applicants have to choose any one of the languages from, English, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, and Nepali and have to answer 50 MCQ type questions of marks 50. Time allowed 45 minutes (12 O’ clock to 12:45 PM) for this Test.

West Bengal NTSE 2018 – Answer Key

NTSE 2018 Answer Key will be accessible online after the exam on the respective official website. The answer key will be available separately for MAT, LAT, and SAT papers to cross-check the responses as marked by applicants in their answer sheet. With the help of NTSE answer key 2018, every candidate will have the option to estimate their approximate score in the exam. The official answer keys will be published right after the exam by some caching centers as well made by their subject experts, so candidates can calculate the answer in their own way at the earliest.

In order to access NTSE 2018 answer key, applicants have to visit the respective official website and follow the steps:

  1. Go to the official website of their related state’s exam conducting body
  2. Enter the necessary information such as; Application ID and Password
  3. Now, click on the submit button
  4. NTSE 2018 Answer Key will appear on the computer screen
  5. Applicants can download the answer key and take a print out for future reference.

West Bengal NTSE 2018 Result

  • The Merit list has been issued by Government of West Bengal or known as Directorate of School Education Bikash Bhawan, Kolkata.
  • Candidates who appeared in the examination can check their names in merit list from the official site of West Bengal NTSE.

  1. Visit the official website of state government or Union Territories.
  2. Click on the link ‘NTSE 2018 Result’
  3. After clicking on the given link, candidates will be redirected to next page.
  4. Enter the necessary details such as. Roll number, date of birth
  5. Click on the submit button.
  6. NTSE Result will appear on the screen.
  7. Download the same for future reference.
