NTSE 2018 Results for Stage 1 will be announced in the month of January 2018. The results will be displayed in the form of rank list on the websites of the respective States and UTs. Students who qualify tier 1 exam will be eligible for the national level Stage 2 exam.

  • NTSE 2018 Results for Stage 2 will be declared in the 1st week of June 2018 by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
  • Applicants can check their result by accessing the login window of the official website www.ncert.nic.in .
  • The result of NTSE 2018 will specify the names of candidates who are eligible for the scholarship program.
  • NTSE 2018 answer keys will be released in the 3rd week of May 2018.
  • The final answer key will be published within a week of conducting the exam.
  • A rank wise merit list will be put up on the website by the examination authority.
  • This list will contain the names of students that have secured NTSE 2018 Scholarship.
  • Aspirants will be required to sign a claim bill for the disbursement of scholarship. They must follow certain rules and regulations in order to receive scholarship upto PhD level.

NTSE (National Talent Scholarship Examination) is a 2-tier scholarship program for deserving class 10 students conducted by NCERT. Stage 1 will be held in November 2017 while Stage 2 exam will be held in May 2018.

How to Check NTSE 2018 Result?

The organizing institute will declare NTSE 2018 Result of stage 1 in January 2018. The results can be viewed on the official websites of the respective State/ UT of candidate. NTSE 2018 Stage 2 result will be declared in the 1st week of June 2018. It will be published on the official website www.ncert.nic.in.

The exam conducting body will display rank wise results of all applicants. Separate rank lists for each category- General, SC and ST, will be displayed. The results will be put up in a PDF format that will have candidate’s name, rank and other details.

The individual result for stage 2 can be viewed by following these few easy steps:

  • Log on to the official website of NCERT
  • Select the tab of ‘Programs’ and choose the option of National Talent Search Examination from the drop-down list.
  • A number of links will appear. Choose the appropriate link of NTSE 2018 Result.
  • Applicants will be redirected to the login page to access the result.
  • They will be required to fill in their Roll Number and Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.
  • After filling the details, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • The result shall appear on the screen. Save the file for future reference.

Incase aspirants find a discrepancy in their result; they may contact the governing body. They can register their complaints through mail at ntsexam.ncert@gov.in within stipulated period of time.

Details on NTSE 2018 Rank List

Results will be available to applicants in the form of rank lists. NTSE 2018 Rank list will contain basic information of candidate and their result. NTSE 2018 Result will also contain scanned images of SAT, MAT and Language Test OMR sheets of the individual.

The results will be valid only for the ongoing academic year and will not be valid after it. The details mentioned in the score card is:

  • Full name of the candidate
  • Father’s name
  • Address of School
  • Roll Number
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Disability status
  • Marks secured in MAT and SAT
  • Total marks
  • NTSE 2018 Rank

NTSE 2018 Answer Key

NTSE 2018 Answer Key for stage 1 will be released by the state authorities within a month of conducting the exam. NTSE 2018 Answer key for Stage 2 will be released by NCERT on its official website in the 3rd week of May 2018. Aspirants can estimate a rough score to know if they will be eligible for the scholarship program. Various coaching classes will also release answer keys soon after the exam is conducted.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to download NCERT answer key-

  • Log on to the official website of NCERT. Select the option of NTSE under Programs tab.
  • Look for the option of ‘Scoring Key for NTS Stage II Examination’ and select it.
  • Choose the appropriate set of answer key.
  • Download it and use it to cross-check the answers.

NTSE 2018 Cut off

NTSE 2018 Cut off will be as decided by the governing body of NCERT. Cut-off is the minimum qualifying criteria required by candidates to qualify in the scholarship program. The cut off for NTSE 2018 is fixed and does not vary over the years. The names of candidates who score equal to or more than the cut off score will receive the scholarship amount upto PhD level.

NTSE 2018 cut off score will be in the form of percent for each category. The qualifying criteria for the exam is stated as follows-

NTSE 2018 Disbursement of Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to students selected on the basis of final merit list once stage 2 result of NTSE 2018 is announced. Aspirants who qualify the exam will an award letter, certificate of merit and details of the disbursement of scholarship in due time by the division.

  • They will be required to fill a Claim Bill every year as long as they want the academic scholarship.
  • This document will contain details about details of the student’s school/ college, course they have opted for along with the various subjects and total marks secured in the particular year.
  • Aspirants will receive the scholarship account by the online mode.
  •  They must score a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in order to be awarded the scholarship.
  •  If they fail to obtain the minimum marks then scholarship for that year will be forfeited.
  •  Aspirants will be rendered ineligible for scholarship payment if they fail to score the minimum aggregate for 2 consecutive or non-consecutive years.

About 1000 students will be granted NTSE scholarships every year. The amount of scholarship will vary according to the academic qualifications of students.
