SCERT Puducherry on December 13, conducted the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2020 across the Union Territory and around 3,800 candidates took up the NTSE 2020 exam at 20 exam centres across Puducherry. The NTSE 2020 scholarship exam was conducted by following the instructions and guidelines issued by the Ministry Of Education. 

It has been notified that a total of 4,439 candidates had applied for the NTSE 2020 Exam, out of which only 3,863 (87.02%) candidates had appeared for the scholarship exam. As per the region-wise breakup of the candidates, 2,694 (86.62%) were from Puducherry, 789 (85.67%) were from Karaikal, 237 (94%) from Yanam, and 143 (90%) were from Mahe. 

According to the Directorate, the NTSE 2020 exam questions booklets along with the answer scripts will be available from today onwards, i.e from December 16, 2020 on its official website @www.nmmsntspdy.com. If any candidate wants to raise any query/objections related to the answer key, then he can do it through the registered email @nmmsnts@gmail.com on or before December 18, 2020.

About NTSE 2020 Exam 

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) conducts the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) for the candidates who are interested in pursuing higher education in Science and Social studies streams. NTSE 2020 exams are conducted for the students who are studying Class 10 and it is conducted in 2 stages.

NTSE Stage 1 exam is conducted at state-level for the students from all the states and UTs. While NTSE stage 2 exam is conducted by NCERT at national-level for the candidates who have qualified for the NTSE stage 1.exam. The main aim of conducting the NTSE exams is to award scholarships to the deserving and meritorious students who are willing to pursue higher education in Social and Science disciplines. NTSE 2021 exam has been scheduled to be held in July 2021.
