Andhra Pradesh Directorate of Government Examinations has officially released the Talent Search Examination Application Form 2021. Andhra Pradesh NTSE- Stage 1 is scheduled on December 13, 2020, Sunday. Eligible class 10 students will have the opportunity to take the state level examination. 

The exam is held in two stages i.e. Stage-1 and Stage-2. Stage-I, Selection will be done by A.P. State and those who are selected from the Stage-I examination will be eligible to appear for Stage-II examination, conducted by NCERT. Due to an upsurge in COVID-19 cases and nationwide imposed lockdown, the NTSE scholarship exam is postponed to December. 

  • Qualifying marks for candidates from SC/ST/PH category is 32% in each paper and for others
  • (General/OBC & EWS) categories are 40% in each paper.

Eligibility

All students of Class X studying in recognized schools of A.P. are eligible to appear for the Stage-1 examination. Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible. The student must be appearing in the Class X examination for the first time.

Also, Applicants need to have scored a minimum of 55% for (SC/ST/Physically Challenged students) and 70% marks (for other categories) in Class 9 annual examination.

Scholarships

A total of two thousand scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as follows: 

  1. Scholarship of Rs. 1250/ per month for Class XI to XII. 
  1. Scholarship of.RS.200/ per month for Undergraduates and Postgraduates.

(c) Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. is fixed, following the UGC norms.

Reservation Criteria

According to the official notice issued, based on reservation criteria NCERT will award

the NTSE scholarships in 2021.
