Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the result of UPSC Prelims 2020 on October 23. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check the result on the official website upsc.gov.in.
The Commission conducted the UPSC Prelims 2020 exam on October 4 in offline mode. Due to COVID circumstances, the exam was postponed from the original date of May 31. Approximately 10.58 Lakh candidates applied for the Prelims stage of UPSC.

Along with the UPSC Prelims exam, officials have also declared the result for Indian forest service prelims exam 2020. The IFS exam was also conducted on October 4.

This year, candidates who appeared for the exam provided mixed responses regarding the exam. Some candidates stated that the difficulty level of the exam was easy while some found the exam to be hard.
The marks of the Prelims exam are not taken into account while releasing the final result as it is just a screening test. Candidates who manage to qualify for the prelims exam are then required to give the Mains exam.
The Commission has also stated that candidates who have cleared the Prelims exam will have to fill the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) online and submit the same till November 11, 2020.
