UPSC CISF has released a notification for the post of Assistant commandants. The last date of registration is December 30, 2016. Graduate candidates can apply for this post. The selection will be done through written test & physical/ medical test.

Availability of online application form – December 07, 2016.

The last date of registration, after that link will be disabled – December 30, 2016.

Last date for printed form to reach CISF authorities – January 06, 2017.

UPSC CISF Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should be a graduate from a recognised university. Candidates with NCC ‘B’ certificate will be preferable during final selection. However, NCC is not a compulsory qualification.

Experience – Candidates should have minimum four years of experience in the sub inspector/ Inspector rank including training period. The candidate has a clean service record till the appointment date.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 35 years for general category. There is a relaxation in age of 5 years for SC/ ST category and 3 years for OBC category. The age limit will be calculated as on August 01, 2017.

UPSC CISF 2017 Selection Process

The candidates will undergo in the UPSC Recruitment selection process. They will have to qualify the written test conducted by CISF. The shortlisted candidates will go for physical and medical test. After that, they will be appointed as an Assistant Commandant.

Pay Scale

The basic salary for Assistant commandant post is as per CISF norms. In addition to basic pay, house allowances, medical facilities, PA etc.

UPSC CISF Exam Pattern

Candidates who are seeking a job in UPSC CISF must know about the exam pattern. The exam is divided into two papers i.e. subjective & objective. Candidates need to mainly focus on paper I that contains general ability & intelligence skill. Candidates will be shortlisted for Paper II on the basis of marks scored in paper I. UPSC CISF Recruitment General Instructions

There are some general instructions for aspirants as notified by CISF. They can check the following points before the UPSC CISF exam date:

  • The shortlisted candidates in the written test will have to produce all original certificates at the time of medical standard test.
  • Candidates should not be born before August 02, 1982.
  • UPSC reserves the right to reject any candidate at any stage of selection process. Canvassing in any form will be the result of disqualification.
  • The possibility of occurrence of some problems in the administration of the examination cannot be ruled out completely, which may impact test delivery and/ or result from being generated.
