It is also commonly known as PCS (Pre) 2020. Candidates who have taken up the offline exam can visit the official UPPSC site and check their revised results online.
UPPSC Secretary, Jagdish, claimed that the UPPSC PCS(PRE) 2020 results were revised due to the detection of some anomalies owing to technical issues in the results, which forced the commission to release the revised results and cancel the previous results that were declared.
Further, he said that the step to release the revised results was taken following the technical errors which occurred for the two posts of Child Development Project Officer and Labour Enforcement Officer.
As per the revised results, 1,131 candidates who were earlier declared successful for certain posts did not make it to the list of successful candidates. While 1,481 candidates were shortlisted. On November 21, the PCS(Pre) 2020 results were announced and 5393 candidates were successfully shortlisted. But according to the revised results, 5535 candidates have been successfully selected, said the UPPSC officials.
The UPPSC officials stated that the 1131 candidates who failed to make it to the list of revised results that were initially announced successful include 967 candidates who were not included in the list due to the lack of meeting the requisite eligibility criteria set for Child Development Project Officer post. For the same reason, 139 candidates failed to qualify for the post of labour enforcement officer. And the remaining 25 candidates failed to qualify the successful candidate’ list after failing to meet the requisite cutoffs.
It has been notified by UPPSC that separate instructions will be released for the prelims qualified candidates to appear for the Mains examination. The commission has also advised that the released results are conditional and therefore the candidates have to preview the results for more essential information as prescribed in it. In case of failure, the candidate's results would be canceled/rejected.
