December 29, 2020: Some important COVID-19 guidelines have been released by the Indian Coast Guard for the candidates appearing in the PSB Assistant Commandant 02/2021 (SRD) batch. Indian Coast Guard will conduct PSB between January 20, 2021, and February 20, 2021. This is the first stage of the selection process.
According to the official notification released by ICG, all candidates must follow social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols while travelling in public transport. In case any candidate has COVID-19 symptoms, they are advised to remain in their home station. If a candidate with COVID-19 symptoms reports to the centre, they will not be allowed to enter the centre and will be returned back during medical screening on arrival.
Every candidate is required to carry their own hand sanitizer, face masks, face shields and pair of gloves. Candidates must note that they should install the “Arogya-Setu” app on their mobile prior to leaving their home station for PSB centre. A screenshot/printout of having a green status on the Arogya-Setu app must be taken by the candidate while leaving their home station as it will be scrutinised on arrival at the PSB centre. Candidates are required to follow the mandatory quarantine policies issued by the government of the respective states/cities where the PSBs are being conducted.
Apart from the above mentioned, candidates are required to carry a COVID-19 test report that declares the individual COVID negative. Please note the COVID negative report must be from an ICMR accredited laboratory and the date of the test should be within 72 hrs prior reporting date at PSB centre.
