December 31, 2020: Indian Army has officially released a recruitment notification inviting unmarried applicants for the recruitment of the NCC Special Entry Scheme 49th Course (April 2021) for the Short Service Commission (NT) on its official Indian Army website. All such unmarried candidates (including the wards of battle casualties of army personnel) who are interested and satisfy the eligibility requirements can visit the official website @joinindianarmy.nic and apply online for the aforesaid posts from January 8 till February 6, 2021.
Candidates are allowed to appear for only one of the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, i.e they can appear for either SSC (NT) (Women)-27 Course (Apr 2021)/SSC (NT)-113 Course (Apr 2021) as CDSE candidate or appear for the NCC (Special) Entry-49 Course (Apr 2021).
Indian Army has released a total of 55 vacancies for the NCC Special Entry, in which 50 vacancies are for NCC Men and the remaining 5 for NCC women.

It has been notified that candidates who are appointed as an officer will be on a probation period for 6 months from the start of the commission. If the candidate is reported on or within the completion of the probation period as unfit to retain the commission, the candidate's service will be terminated any time before or after the conclusion of the probation period.
