RRB or Railway Recruitment Board has released official notification for 1,30,000 vacancies of Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC), Para-Medical Staff, Ministerial and Isolated Categories and Level 1 positions. RRB released the notification of RRB NTPC exam on February 28, 2019 which was followed by the registration process that was conducted from March 01, 2019 – March 31, 2020. RRB NTPC 2020 exam was scheduled to be conducted in the month of April 2020 but due to COVID – 19 Outbreak, the exam dates have not been released yet and is most likely to be delayed until further notice is released.

  • As per NTPC eligibility, applicants must have a graduate degree with minimum required marks.
  • Interested candidates can submit their applications from February 28, 2019. Check RRB Recruitment for JE, JE-IT, DMS and CMA
  • Selection of candidates is done through Preliminary Test, Main Test and Personal Interview. 
  • Those who will successfully qualify all the stages will get the call letter. Check Official Notification

Vacancy Details

There are total 1,30,000 vacancies under RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019. The number of available seats will vary from post wise. The various posts that will be filled through RRB NTPC are:

RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for RRB Recruitment 2019 must fulfil the complete eligibility criteria prescribed by the official authority.

  • A candidate should possess a graduation degree in any discipline with minimum required marks from a recognized university.
  • Applicants who are in the final year are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit:

No official notification related to age limit is announced. But according to past year trends, the minimum age to apply for the recruitment is 18 years and the maximum age is 32 years. 

Candidates belonging to reserved categories will get the relaxation in age limit. In case of an OBC candidate, the age relaxation is of 3 years and in the case of SC/ST candidate, the age relaxation is of 5 years.


RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019: Application Process

The registration for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019 is done in online mode. Candidates who wish to apply can submit their applications on the official website of RRB from February 28, 2019. The registration will start separately for different posts.

  1. Go to the official website of Indian Railways i.e. indianrailways.gov.in
  2. Find out the link for Railway Recruitment Board- Non-Technical Recruitment
  3. Go through the notification carefully
  4. Fill all the required information
  5. Pay application fee
  6. Click on the submit button
  7. Download and take a print out of the application for future use

Application Fee

Applicants also have to pay an application fee of INR 500 at the time of application form submission. The fee can be paid through online mode.

RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019: Selection Process

  • RRB NTPC recruitment 2019 selection process consists of three stages namely- Preliminary Test, Main Test and Personal Interview.
  • Successfully applied candidates will appear for preliminary exam, those who will qualify stage 1 exam are called for Main exam.
  • Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in both exams will participate in Interview round.
  • Applicants who will successfully qualify Personal Interview round will be considered for the desired post.
