Railway Recruitment Board is going to recruit 23801 eligible applicants for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot Post and Technical Post for Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Gorakhpur, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Ajmer, Allahabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Jammu, Bilaspur, Kolkata, Malda, Patna, Muzaffarpur, Ranchi, Siliguri, and Trivandrum RRBs.

RRB has invited applicants who have completed the Matriculation and are interested in Indian Railway Jobs. The RRB Online Application form for this post is yet to be out and will be soon updated on its official website.

RRB Recruitment: Eligibility

The required educational qualification for all the post is different in RRB Recruitment. They have been mentioned below:

Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs) Matriculation & course completed Act Apprenticeship Industrial Training Institute approved National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)/ State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) in the Trades (Instrument Mechanic/ Mechanic Radio & TV/ wireman/ Tractor Mechanic). Or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Automobile Engineering recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education.
Technicians Grade – III Matriculation & course completed Act Apprenticeship Industrial Training Institute approved National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)/ State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) in the Trades (TV & Radio/ Instrumentation/ Computer/ Computer Networking/ Data Networking) Or Senior Secondary (10+2) School Certificate Examination / Higher Secondary Certificate/ Intermediate Examination with Physics and Mathematics. Or 3 – years Diploma in Engineering in Electrical/Telecommunication/Communication/ Information science/ Computer Technology approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.

Age Limit

A candidates age should be between 18 years to 25 years for Assistant Loco Pilot posts, while 18 years to 28 years for Technician posts. Age relaxation is applicable and it will be calculated as on 01-08-2015.


RRB Recruitment: How to Apply?

The process to apply for RRB Recruitment is very easy to follow. One must complete each step very carefully and accurately. Follow these simple steps to complete the registration process:

1. Visit the official RRB Website.

2. Candidates are required to visit Regional wise website.

3. Click on the link and start filling the RRB online application form.

4. While filling the form, keep the 10th/12th/ ITI certificate, and other essential documents along, to fill the details accurately.

5. Upload scanned Photograph and signature.

6. Pay Application form fee.

7. Click on “Submit” button.

8. Save the form on completion and take the hard copy of the same for future reference.

RRB Recruitment: Application Fee 

The standard application fee is INR 100/-. Applicants belonging to SC / ST / PWD are exempted from any payment of processing fee.

Mode of Fee Payment

The RRB Recruitment application fee is accepted in online mode through Online Payment Gateway i.e. (Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking etc.). The Railway Recruitment Boards will not accept any Outstation Draft.


RRB Recruitment: Exam Pattern

The questions in the RRB Recruitment examination will comprise of sections such as follows:

  1. General Awareness
  2. Arithmetic, General Intelligence
  3. Reasoning
  4. General Science
  5. Technical Ability

The Question paper will be in English and Hindi or Urdu and local languages with duration of 90 minutes with approximately 100 questions.
