RRB recruitment follows the reservation policies as per Government guidelines. A brief description is given below:

Candidates who apply for the post in CEN have to pay the application fee as per their categories are given below:
Candidates can pay application fee through internet banking or debit/credit card/UPI or SBI Challan.
Note: INR 400 will be refunded to general/OBC candidates from after appearing in CBT and full amount to reserved categories.
The selection of the candidates will be based on merit. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in CBT (Computer Based Test). Qualified candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 3 times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs/RRCs.
PET will be followed by document verification and medical examination. Candidates can check the details of DV and ME below:
Note: In case the appointed candidates found to not fulfill the requisite criteria, RBs/RRCs may reject the candidature of any applicant at any stage of the recruitment process.

The criteria of PET for female and male candidates are given below:
