The North-East Frontier Railways or NFR has declared vacancies for 4999 apprentices and interested candidates can apply for the same through the website- The application form is available for filling online from August 16, 2020 to September 15, 2020 till 10:00 PM. NFR recruitment 2020- Important Highlights

  • The recruitment notice was published in August 13, 2020.
  • Once the candidates are engaged in the work, they will be given stipends according to the prescribed rates.
  • The vacancy are in the following divisions of NF Railway-
    • Katihar & TDH Workshop
    • Alipurduar
    • Rangiya
    • Lumding & S&T workshop
    • Tinsukia
    • NBQS and EWS/BNGN
    • Dibrugh
  • The form fill-up will commence from 10:00 AM on August 16, 2020, and will end by September 15, 2020.
  • The selection will be done based on the merit list which will be prepared taking the average marks of class 10 and ITI into account. This will be followed by document verification by the relevant department.
  • The following are vacancy, eligibility and age limit details for the different posts which are available:

Minimum age - 15 years

Maximum age - 24 years (age relaxation for reserved category candidates up to 10 years)

Passed class 10 with ITI Certificate in relevant trade (for details check the official NFR 2020 notification) 

The certificate should be issued by National Council for Vocational Training or the State Council for Vocational Training.

New Bongaigaon Workshop (NBQS) & EWS/ BNGN

  • The steps mentioned below must be followed to fill up the application form successfully:
  • Go to the official website of NFR and look up the recruitment tab.
  • Click on the “apply online” option and fill-up the form as instructed.
  • The payment should be cleared successfully along with uploading legitimate and comprehensible documents as and when required.
  • Once all the steps are completed successfully, keep a copy of the application form for future reference.
  • Make sure that no mistake is made while filling up the form as once the final submission is done, it cannot be rectified.
  • The application fees for the unreserved category are INR 100 while there is no application fees required for the reserved category candidates.
  • The Application fees is INR 100  and has to be paid through online gateway.
