CSIR UGC NET conducts National Eligibility Test for Lectureship (LS) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) twice in a year i.e. in June and December. CSIR UGC NET 2020 involves 5 subjects viz. Earth Sciences, Mathematics Science, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences. Candidates can appear either for Lectureship program or for JRF only.

CSIR UGC NET paper have multiple choice questions of 200 marks and is divided into three parts A, B, and C. Part A is common to all and comprises of topics like Reasoning ability, General awareness, Numerical ability, etc. Part B has questions based on the concerned subject. Part C includes questions of higher weightage and are of analytical nature.
