The Staff Selection Committee (SSC) Examination is conducted every year to fill various vacancies in the government department for different posts in various ministries. Combined Graduate Level is another examination that has huge vacancies and fill the posts every year. It is one of the highly competitive examination conducted in the country to fill up the government vacancies in the different categories and departments. Below is given the vacancy list of all such posts that come under the SSC- CGL examination.

SSC CGL TENTAVICE VACANCY LIST HIGHLIGHTS

Every year SSC releases vacancies in different categories and departments for different posts. This year, in 2020, SSC has released a total of 12929 vacancies for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. Graduates will be recruited through this examination and will be posted on different posts in various departments and ministries. The different posts that will be filled by the examination include posts like Assistants, Auditors, Inspectors, etc. under different government departments, ministries and organizations.

The total number of vacancies for the total posts under the SSC CGL examination is approximately 4500 in number. The final selection for the post allotment is made on the basis of the marks obtained in all the tiers. The minimum SSC CGL grade pay is INR 2400. However, the maximum is INR 4800.

SSC CGL 2020 VACANCY LIST

SSC CGL has released the vacancy list for the year 2020. The approximate number of vacancies for different posts under different categories and departments in the year 2020 is 9372. This is just the tentative number of vacancies that has been released. There is no official confirmation for the number of recruitments. The commission will upgrade the list by the final hiring. SSC- CGL has released the vacancy list department- wise, post- wise and category- wise.

SSC CGL SELECTION PROCESS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The Selection process of the SSC CGL examination is different. The selection is purely made on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate. According to the marks obtained by the aspirants, a merit list is prepared. The posts are allotted on the basis of the merit list prepared.

  1. In order to qualify the examination, candidates have to clear all the tiers of the exam, i.e., Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4. The final selection is made on the basis of the marks obtained in all the tiers. The cut off is released separately for all the 4 tiers. Those who clear the cut- off are eligible to apply further.
  2. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in all the tiers. The merit list is announced for different categories separately, i.e. General, OBC, SC, ST, PWD and others.
  3. While filling the application form, the candidates will be asked to fill their job preferences. After clearing the examination, the candidates will be allotted the post according to the choice filled by him/ her. The choice once made cannot be changed or altered.
  4. The Ex-Serviceman/ PWD candidates who qualify the examination on the basis of relaxed standards are to be counted against reserved vacancies subject to fitness of such candidate for selection.
  5. In order to be eligible for the examination, the candidate must be either a citizen of India, Nepal and Bhutan or must be a citizen of India who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi etc.
  6. Also, the candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the desired field with 60% minimum marks to be eligible for the particular post.
