SSC has revised the result for the CGL 2017 Tier I exam. The decision of revising the result was taken into consideration because some discrepancies were reported in the previous result due to technical glitches.

The revision is made based on correction in some answer keys. However, the rest of the answer key was not revised. Therefore, it was a comprehensive review based on changes in some answers in the key.

This review and revision of the result has seen a decline in the cut off marks as compared to those declared earlier. Therefore, in a way this revision has become a life saver for the candidates who could not meet the previous cutoff marks.

For example, 2502 SC category candidates cleared the Tier I exam in List I based on the older cut off. This number has now been raised to 3218 based on the revised CGL cut off.

The SSC CGL Exam carried out in four stages namely – Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV. The Tier I exam was carried out from August 05, 2017 to August 23, 2017.

The commission declared SSC CGL result of the Tier I exam first on October 30, 2017 after going through the answer keys and objections. However, the commission has now published a notice on its official website stating that a few tentative answer keys were not revised due to some technical problem.

Hence, the commission revoked the prior result and carried out a comprehensive review again. Based on this comprehensive review, the marks of the candidates were revised and the cut off for almost all the categories was changed.

SSC has uploaded all the details of the candidates in the revised List I, List II and List III on its official website at – http://ssc.nic.in/. Read on to know how to access the revised SSC CGL 2017 Tier I results and also about the revised checklists based on the reassessment of results.
