SSC CGL official notification has been released on May 15, 2017. Application form is available online from May 16, 2017.Candidates can apply till June 16, 2017. However, applications are invited only from those candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification including age criteria for each post. Candidates must be well between the age limits while to applying to the posts.
Introducing a decisive change in the pattern of SSC CGL, the time limit has been reduced from 75 minutes to 60 minutes. This has come as a shocker to lot of candidates who were still trying to get comfortable with 75 minutes time window.
PERMISSIBLE AGE CRITERIA FOR APPLYING:
SSC recruit candidates for number of posts in ministries and other organisations and hence the job profile and description varies a lot among the profiles. Thus, SSC has defined age limit separately for each post which is to be adhered by candidates in full confidence with the commission. Here is the table highlighting posts, Department and Age limit:

The Commission also provides relaxation to candidates belonging to reserved categories. Following the directives of Supreme court and constitution of India, the relaxation is provided as per Reservation criteria approved by the government.
