All the UPTET qualified candidates should rejoice as Uttar Pradesh Government is expected to fill 68,500 vacant posts of Assistant teachers in all the districts of the state. The notification for recruitment of teachers was released on January 23. This news is likely to give a lot of respite for teaching aspirants in Uttar Pradesh after a lot of controversy and protests over the state of education in state.
The online portal for submitting application will be open from January 25 to February 05, 2018. The exam for recruiting Assistant Teachers is tentatively scheduled for March 12, 2018. The written examination will be conducted and managed by Examination Regulatory Authority, Allahabad.
Candidates can submit the application form online till February 07. The application fee for the exam is INR 600 for General and OBC category while for SC and ST category the fee is relaxed to INR 400. Besides submission of form, a separate facility to make corrections in the already submitted form will be also available from February 13 to 15 at the online portal. Candidates are expected to go through the instructions uploaded on the official website before filling the form.

UP Basic Board, Allahabad has released the exam hall ticket for Assistant Teacher Recruitment on the official site. Candidates need to log in with their Registration Number along with their DOB and Captcha to download Admit Card. The exam is scheduled for March 12, 2018.
As per the eligibility criteria issued for the examination, candidates must have cleared UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) or CTET (Central Eligibility Teacher Test) conducted by CBSE. Apart from qualifying TET, candidates also need to complete D.El.Ed, D.Ed, B.Ed or BTC to apply for the Assistant Teachers’ Recruitment 2018.
As per the general speculation this year, around 25 lakh aspirants are expected to apply for the post of Assistant Teacher in various Junior Schools of Uttar Pradesh. UPTET Results 2017 was declared on December 15 for 9,76,760 candidates who had appeared for TET on October 15, 2017.
UPTET qualified candidates can download the Eligibility Certificate from the official website i.e, upbasicboard.gov.in and the same should be furnished for applying in the Assistant Teacher’s Recruitment Exam 2018. However, qualifying in UPTET is merely an eligibility to apply for the exam and the final recruitment of teachers would be actually based on the performance of candidates in the written examination.
The qualifying marks in the Assistant Teacher Recruitment Exam for General category is 45% and 40% for SC/ST category candidates. The results for the exam is expected to be declared in the month of April.
