UPTET Result 2016 has been announced on March 18, 2017 by UPBEB (Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board). The Result of UPTET 2016 can be checked by following the simple steps given on this page, by entering the Roll Number of UPTET. The qualifying states, along with the marks, has been announced through the result. It was conducted in 858 cities across the state to identify the candidates worthy of eligibility certificate. More than 1700 supervisors with 286 Flying Squad ensured that exam was held smoothly.

The examination was held on December 19 in two shifts. A total of 7,55,889 candidates had registered to take the UPTET 2016. Total 75,364 candidates have qualified the examination. The total number of candidates who qualified UPTET 2016 Paper 1 is 25226, whereas, the total number of qualifiers in Paper 2 is 50138. The qualifiers will receive their UPTET 2016 eligibility certificate after 15 days, i.e. April 02, 2017, onwards.

Candidates taking test for the post of Class 6 to Class 8 teachers appeared in the first shift (10am to 12.30pm), while those taking the exam for Class 1 to Class 5 teachers’ posts appeared in the second shift (2.30pm to 5pm). It cannot be checked offline and the conducting body will also not send the copy of the score at the residential address.

Steps to check UPTET 2016 Result

Score has been uploaded online as per the candidate’s subjects. Aspirants can check their outcomes at upbasiceduboard.gov.in. Subject wise marks achieved by the aspirant will be shown after logging in at the official portal.

UPTET 2016 Certificate Validity

  • You will get eligibility certificate if you qualify UPTET 2016.
  • This certificate is valid for 5 (five) years.
  • To calculate the number of years for certificate validity, start from the date of announcement of UPTET Result 2016.

UPTET 2016 Cutoff

The candidates have been termed qualified on the basis of the cutoff of UPTET. Candidates scoring more than the minimum cutoff marks will receive eligibility certificate. Qualifying marks for both levels i.e Primary Level and Upper Primary Level are same. The Certificate of TET exam pass is usable for next five years from the date of result announcement. Candidate must attain the below-provided marks to get crowned with UPTET qualification:

Candidates who score 60% marks have been announced qualified through the UPTET Result. However, in case of candidates belonging to reserved category the qualifying percentage if 55%.

UPTET Selection Process

Candidates who score 60% (90/150 marks) of the total marks would be considered qualified for UPTET Recruitment. However, the reserved category candidates are required to score only 55% marks (82/150 marks) to qualify in UPTET. Candidates who qualify UPTET, would be would be UPTET eligibility certificate. 

UPTET Eligibility Certificate

UPTET Eligibility Certificate is valid for 5 years. Eligibility Certificate can be taken from the district education board by providing a copy of UPTET Admit Card and Photo Identity Card. There is no fixed number of attempts in UPTET.

Candidates who want to acquire second copy of the UPTET Eligibility Certificate, can avail by paying fees of INR 300 through DD (Demand Draft) payable at Secretary, Examination Controller Officer, Uttar Pradesh, 23 Allenganj, Allahabad.  

A candidate has to submit copies of the following documents to retrieve the second copy of UPTET Eligibility Certificate:

  1. Class X mark-sheet
  2. UPTET Admit Card
  3. Caste Certificate
  4. PH Certificate
  5. Advertisement of lost Eligibility Certificate in Newspaper
  6. FIR Copy of lost UPTET Eligibility Certificate

The candidates who qualify in UPTET, and want to apply for the teaching post in UP can apply by providing the eligibility certificate.
