After the National Testing Agency or NTA declared that UGC NTA NET 2020 will be postponed to September 24, 2020, it is going to clash with the date for UPPSC PSC Mains exam. This year the UPPSC Mains for 2019 will be conducted from September 22-26, 2020. This means, there will be an inevitable clash between the exams.  The UPPSC Mains 2019 have been postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially it was scheduled on April 20, 2020 but got rescheduled for July 25 and eventually for September 22, 2020. Also Read- BOI Officer Recruitment 2020

The UGC NTA NET 2020, too has been postponed for the same reason and was eventually scheduled for September 14, 2020. The admit card was not released even two days before the scheduled date which led to a number of speculation about the exam getting postponed, which ultimately turned out true. The new date is September 24, 2020 which is right in the middle of the UPPSC Mains exam week.

There are a number of candidates who are opting for UPPSC as well as NET which means, there is high probability of a clash for several candidates. However, it is highly unlikely that UPPSC Mains will be postponed this time again after the Admit Card has been published on September 11, 2020. On the other hand, the UGC NTA NET exam time table, process and admit card are yet to be released. It can be concluded that while this is a tricky situation for candidates who are participating in both the exams, expecting either of them will be postponed at this stage is not viable and it is best to wait for further notices.

The NTA is in charge of conducting several exams like NET, NEET, JEE, CMAT exams in the country. Any further notification regarding Net will be available on the official website of nta.nic.in.
