CBSE UGC National Eligibility Test 2018 is an eligibility test for college and university level lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the test on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or JRF and Assistant Professor in universities and colleges for Indian nationals.

  • CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card is available for download 1 month before the exam.
  • CBSE will release the CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card.

Candidate will not be allowed to enter CBSE UGC NET exam centre other than the allotted one. They are required to furnish the admit card on the day of examination.

How to Download CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card?

Candidates can download CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit card from the official website. Candidates will not receive their admit card by post, they are required to download CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card online.

Steps to download CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card are given below:

  • Go to CBSE UGC NET official website www.cbsenet.nic.in
  • Navigate to “Download NET 2018 Admit Card” on the left of the homepage
  • Click on the link “CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card”
  • Enter Application number and Password
  • Login to View and Download CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card
  • Print the Admit Card

In case candidate has forgotten the password or the application number, it can be recovered by answering the security question. The other methods to reset the password are by receiving the verification code on the registered mobile number via SMS or through a direct link received via email on the registered email id.

Candidates are required to carry the admit card to the exam centre. On failure of which candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall or appear for the examination. Candidates are also required to carry identity documents with CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card.

CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card carries the details such as:

  • Venue of Test: Centre number as well as the full address of the College or University allotted to candidate.
  • Subject and Subject Code: Candidate’s subject as well as the subject code which was selected during the application is also mentioned on the admit card/hall ticket.
  • Name of the Candidate

Discrepancy in CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit Card

After the process of online Application for CBSE UGC NET 2018, candidates can correct particular information such as examination centre preference, address, mobile number etc. on the website. Correction in Particulars of application form on the website is available for five days for candidates to correct any spelling errors or change particulars.

Here are the steps to correct the discrepancy in Admit Card:

  • Any discrepancies which are mentioned in CBSE UGC NET 2018 Admit card cannot be corrected.
  • Candidates can contact the authority and write an application via email for changes only if they are important.

  • AADHAR card
  • College ID card
  • Driver’s License

  • Identification Affidavit signed by a gazetted Officer

Candidate’s photo and signature as well as the name on the document and admit card should match each other. The Photo ID card should be visible and free of damage or smudge.


CBSE UGC NET 2018 Exam Centres

Candidates are required to select any four cities in terms of their preference for NET 2018 examination. The allotment of the city of examination or exam centre will be based on the candidate’s preference as submitted during the application. In exceptional cases, a different or a nearby examination city or exam centre will be allotted.

CBSE UGC NET 2018 Exam Day Instructions

UGC NET 2018 Admit Card mentions instructions that should be followed by candidates. The instructions are listed below the examination time schedule.

Here is an overview of the instructions mentioned on the admit card:

  • Candidates are required to bring black ball point pen to the examination hall. The cover page details of the Test Booklet such as seat number and name of the candidate should be filled with black ball point pen.
  • Darkening of the circles on the answer sheet should be done using black ball point pen only. Use of pencil or any other tool is strictly prohibited.
  • Candidates are advised not to carry any answer materials in the examination hall.
  • All examination hall will have a wall clock and candidates are not allowed to carry any type of watch in the exam hall.
  • Candidates should carefully read the detailed notification for UGC NET 2018.
  • No Travel Allowance will be paid by the authority for appearing for the Examination.
  • Candidates should reach the venue on time. Candidates who will not appear for Paper I will not be allowed to appear for Paper II and Paper III
  • Candidates should carry the Admit card along with one photo identity proof.
