CBSE UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) was organized by Central Board of Secondary Education on November 5, 2017 for the selection of the candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. CBSE UGC NET is conducted through offline mode only.
Students who have appeared for the examination can download the answer key for all the codes some weeks after the exam is conducted on the official website. CBSE UGC NET Answer Key by Key To Success Paper-1
The exam contained three different papers. Paper 1 comprised General Aptitude Questions while Paper 2 and Paper 3 contained the questions from the subjects chosen by candidate at the time of CBSE UGC NET Registration. Total time duration given to complete the exam was 5 hours. Total 185 questions were asked in the paper- 60 questions in Paper 1, 50 questions in Paper 2 and 75 questions in Paper 3.
Students can check the answer key through online mode only by visiting the official website. Soon after the completion of the exam, answer key will be released both officially and unofficially. Students can analyze their performance with the help of answer key. Candidates can easily get the idea of how much they can score in the exam. They can have a rough idea about the result.

After clicking on the link, answer key will be displayed on the screen in the PDF format. Students can download and take the printout of the answer key for their future use. The file contains the information related to Question Number and Key i.e. (correct option).
If students find any discrepancy in the answer key, they can challenge the authorities by sending a valid proof of it before the last date of publication of answer key. They can challenge by filling an online application form by paying an amount of INR 1000 per section. The fees can be paid through credit card/ debit card or e-challan.
If the authority accepts the challenged answer key then the fee will be refunded otherwise it will not be refunded. Once the result will be declared, no queries regarding answer key will be entertained.
As compared to the previous year exam, this time the paper was very easy and scoring for those who have studied very well. As the exam is comprised of three papers so, its difficulty level increased from Paper I to Paper III.
However, General Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Questions were found to be difficult to solve for Arts and Sanskrit candidates. So, it is right to say that the Paper I and Paper II were comparatively tougher. The difficulty level of CBSE UGC NET is as follows:
Cut off is the minimum marks scored by the candidates in order to qualify the examination. Cut off marks for both the general and reserved category candidates are different. For clearing all the three papers, students have to score at least 40% aggregate marks in all the three papers. But for the each subject, the final cut off will be decided by CBSE.
According to the cut off, merit list will be prepared. Merit list will be prepared according to the subject wise and category wise. The final cut off will be published on the official website of CBSE.
