APSET 2020 notification released- Application Procedure starts from August 14

The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test or APSET 2020 notification has been officially declared on the state website and the application procedure will begin from August 14, 2020. The exam is scheduled to be held on December 6, 2020. The last date for online form submission is September 19, 2020. Only those candidates who have minimum 55% in their master’s degree are eligible to apply for the exam. Also, candidates who are in the final year are eligible to apply. Candidates who completed their Ph. D and those who completed their master’s before September 19, 1991, will also get a 5% marks relaxation. There is no upper age limit for the exam and candidates who have qualified the ASET or UGC Net earlier, also cannot apply this time. Also Read- UGC NET 2020 overview

The online registration begins from August 14, 2020 and the candidates have to create a profile on the official website along with a username and password. Once they have filled up all the credentials and paid the application fees successfully, the form will be submitted and they can download the application form for future reference. The application fees for general category is INR 1200, for OBC it is INR 1000, and for other reserved categories, it is INR 700.

The exam is conducted to shortlist eligible candidates for the posts of lecturers and research scholars in various colleges and universities of Andhra Pradesh. There are two papers in the exam- I and II. The paper-II is on the subject of specialization while paper I is common for all. For paper-I the duration is 1 hour and for Paper-II, there is 2 hours time. There is 2 marks for each correct answer, but no negative marking in the exam.
