SSC JE 2020-21 Tier 1 Paper 1 Begins on March 22: Check Key Highlights

The Staff Selection Commission has started conducting the Junior Engineer Tier 1 Paper 1 exam. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on March 22, 23, 24, 2021 all across the country in multiple shifts. 

The SSC JE 2020-21 Exams are being conducted to recruit candidates for the posts of Junior Engineer in fields like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying and Contracts. The selection process includes two stages of examination- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates clearing the selection process are recruited under various Departments, Ministries, Organizations under the Government of India.

Paper 1 is objective and paper 2 is descriptive in nature. The exams for Paper 1 were scheduled to be conducted from March 22 to 25, 2021 earlier but then the dates were revised later.

• All the candidates must carry a hard copy of their admit cards, a self-declaration form, and a valid photo-id proof.
• Paper 1 is a multiple-choice question-based paper.
• It is an online Computer-based test.
• The total duration of the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes).
• The questions of SSC JE are bilingual (English and Hindi).
• There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in the exam.
