SSC JE Paper I is scheduled from January 22 to January 29, 2018. SSC JE 2018 was conducted successfully in CBT mode for the second consecutive day i.e, January 23 across all the stipulated centers.
No major surprises await candidates this year, i.e, paper 1 would be objective type whereas paper 2 would be descriptive type like last year. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks. Here is a brief look at some of the important takeaways for SSC JE 2018:
SSC JE is the perfect opportunity for candidates to join as Group B Non-Gazetted Junior Engineers in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quality and Quantity Assurance in various Central Government departments.
As per the notification issued by Staff Selection Commission, the Answer Key of both paper 1 and paper 2 will be made available online on the official website after all the sessions are conducted successfully. Candidates applying for the post of Junior Engineer in Central Government have to answer 200 objective type questions in Paper 1 whereas 300 descriptive type questions in paper 2.
SSC JE Answer Key would be released separately for all the different sets of question paper. Candidates are advised to check the answer key pertaining to their question paper set for calculating number of correct answers marked and score obtained for them.

The cut off for SSC JE 2018 exam is declared along with the result only. Cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that a candidate need to secure in order to stand eligible for next selection rounds.
Some of the factors that determine SSC Junior Engineer Cut off include previous year cutoff, difficulty level of exam, number of test takers, etc. Given below are the expected cut off marks arranged category-wise for SSC JE 2018.
