SSC JE  2017 admit card is available now on the official website of SSC. Candidates applied for SSC JE written test can download the admit card at They need to carry admit card along with Aadhar card and passport photographs on the exam day. A candidate without admit card will not be allowed for to appear for the entrance exam. It is an important document as it contains the roll number and exam center of the candidates.

SSC JE 2017 is to be scheduled for March 1 – 4, 2017. It will be held in two shifts such as morning and evening shifts. Candidates will have to qualify SSC JE I exam to go for further rounds. Check the following for important dates as given in the table below:

SSC JE Admit Card

  1. Visit the admit card for Junior Engineers Examination, 2016 and click on the link as highlighted. Then a new page will appear on the screen. There will be three options according to the candidate’s details.
  2. If the candidate has registration ID and date of birth as password. They need to provide the details and search their status.

  1. If the candidates do not have their registration ID and roll number, then they can get admit card using name and date of birth.

The importance of admit card issued by staff selection commission (SSC) lies in the fact that it enables a candidate to appear for the exam. The following details are mentioned on the admit card which are given below:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Roll number
  • Candidate’s category and gender
  • Date and time of the exam
  • Photograph and signature of the candidate
  • Exam center’s address
  • Instructions for the exam day

SSC JE Exam Day Instructions

There are some general instructions given by the commission that must be followed on the exam day. Candidates can go through these instructions as mentioned below:

  • Candidates are advised to keep more than three photographs which was attested in the application form to facilitate easy identification during examination process.
  • Candidates not carrying Aadhar card and photographs will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
  • They are not allowed to carry any stationary items with them. The required stationary will be provided at the exam center.
  • A candidate can appear for the exam at only one allotted exam center.
  • The thumb impression of the candidate will be taken on the biometric machine at the exam center for the attendance.
  • Candidates are also not allowed to carry any electronic devices such as mobile phone, calculator, smart watch etc. inside the exam center.
