BEL sets the eligibility criteria for its recruitment, the eligibility varies according to the posts. Candidates seeking job in BEL must check the required eligibility for Sr. Engineer which are given below.
Sr. Engineer (Civil), E-III – Candidates must have B.E/B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering with at least 60% of marks from a recognized university. SC/ST candidates must have secured only pass class marks.
They must have minimum four years of experience in project planning. The project planning includes Site coordination, estimation, execution of Industrial infrastructure and underground complexes, continuous casting of RCC slabs, SOIL/ROCK stabilization during excavation, Quality Control Procedure, co-ordination of Inter-disciplinary activities, billing, exposure to AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
Sr. Engineer (Electrical), E-III – Candidates must have B.Tech/ B.E degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with at least 60% of marks from an AICTE approved university. SC/ST candidates must be passed only in their qualifying degree.
They must also have four years of experience in designing of Electrical Power distribution systems and electrical works for Industrial operations. It includes selection and integration of HT/ LT switchgear, Transformers, UPS, Automatic fire detection and Alarm system, Grounding systems, cables, connectors and programmable logic controllers, preparation and understanding of electrical drawings, estimation of switchgears and control gears components and execution of electrical installation and commissioning at sites across India. Dealing and coordination with electrical contractors for execution of works at sites.
The upper age limit for General category is 32 years while it is 35 years and 37 years for OBC and SC/ST category respectively. For PWD candidates, 5 years in addition to the relaxation permitted in the respective category. The relaxation for Ex- Servicemen candidates will be given as per government guidelines. The age limit will be calculated as on April 01, 2017.

Applications that are not in prescribed format, incomplete or received after due date will be rejected without assigning any reason. The last date for receipt of completed is April 22, 2017. In case any discrepancy is found in the details submitted by the candidate, their candidature will be summarily rejected.
Candidates belonging to General or OBC category have to pay an amount of INR 500 towards application fee. There is no application fee for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates. The application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
The selection of candidates is based on written test and personal interview conducted by BEL Ghaziabad. Candidates have to qualify the written test to go for interview round. They will be selected for Sr. Engineer post on the basis of merit list. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of scores obtained in both written and personal interview. The selected candidates are required to stay at sites spread across the country till the completion of the project. After that, they may be deputed to other projects anywhere in India.
The pay scale for Sr. Engineer, E-III grade is INR 20,600 to 46,500. In addition to basic pay, dearness allowances, house rent allowances, medical expenses, travelling expenses etc. will be given to the employees.
