BEL Recruitment 2017: Eligibility for Probationary Engineer

Applicants who wish to apply for the post of Probationary Engineer must fulfill the following eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria is set by BEL authority.

  1. Candidates wishing to apply must have AICTE approved graduation degree in B.E. / B.Tech/ B.Sc in following streams.
  • Electronics
  • Electronics and Communication

  • Computer Science and Engineering.
  1. Candidates with first class in AMIE / AMIETE, in the above disciplines are also eligible to apply. SC/ST/PWD candidates with pass class in the above degree / disciplines are eligible to apply.
  2. Candidates currently studying in the final semester / final year of BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering in the specializations mentioned above and who will be appearing for their final semester/final year exams in the month of May/June 2017 are also eligible to apply for the post of Probationary Engineer.

BEL Recruitment 2017: Age Limit

The maximum age limit to apply for the post of Probationary Engineer is 25 years as on April 01, 2017.

There are relaxation in age limit for reserved candidates (SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen).

  • Candidates belong to SC and ST category have 5 years of relaxation in upper age limit
  • There is 10 years of relaxation for PWD candidates.
  • For candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period January 01, 1980 to December 31, 1989 the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for General candidates, 8 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Relaxation for Ex- Servicemen candidates will be extended as government guidelines.

BEL Recruitment 2017: Application Process for Probationary Engineer

BER Recruitment 2017 Registration process for the post of Probationary Engineer is underway. BEL Recruitment 2017: Selection Process of Probationary Engineer

After the declaration of BEL Recruitment Result, shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in written test will be called for next step of selection process i.e. Interview round.

Written test and interview round will be conducted by BEL. The final selection will be based on the performance in written test and interview.

BEL Recruitment 2017: Pay Scale for Probationary Engineer

The minimum pay scale for the post of Probationary Engineer is INR 16400-3%-40500/- (Pre-revised).

Service Agreement: Applicants who will be selected in written test and Interview round will be required to undergo an

Orientation / On-the-Job training for a period of 6 months. They will be required to execute a Service Agreement to serve the Company for a period of 3 years after training and should be willing to serve in any of the Units / Offices of BEL. The amount payable for breach of Service Contract is Rs.3, 00,000/-

BEL Recruitment 2017: General Guidelines

BEL authority has released some important guidelines for the posts of probationary engineers. Applicants are suggested to read carefully all the guidelines issued by BEL.

  • Only Indian nationals can apply for the post of Probationary Engineer
  • Candidates belong to GEN and OBC category have to pay application fee INR 500 and SC/ ST and PWD candidates are exempted from application fee.
  • The total number of posts in each specialization may be increased or decreased based on the actual requirement at the time of recruitment at the discretion of Management.
  • BEL authority has write to reject any application at any stage of selection process. There will be no separate communication to any candidates on their non-selection.
  • Applicants cannot bring any electronic device like mobile, calculator and other at the examination hall.
  • Appointment of the selected candidates will be subject to being found medically fit by the Company’s Medical Authorities.
  • Candidates employed in Govt. and Public Sector will be required to produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of interview, without which they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
