IBPS Clerk Mains 2016 was scheduled on December 31, 2016 & January 1, 2017. Aspirants who were shortlisted through the prelims appeared in the Mains Examination.

The difficulty level of the exam was moderate to difficult. Pattern was different as compared to previous year. Candidates faced difficulty to solve questions especially in Reasoning and English section because of sectional time limit and also due to complex and lengthy questions.

There were total of 5 sections namely, English, Reasoning, Computer awareness, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude. There was sectional time-limit for each section. Candidates will have to qualify in all sections of the exam and also have to secure the overall cut off score. So, without wasting any time let’s come directly to IBPS Clerk Mains Analysis.

Overall Analysis of IBPS Clerk Mains Exam

IBPS Clerk Mains had some big changes in Reasoning, English and Quant Sections. With Data Sufficiency being asked in Clerical Exam and the increasing number of puzzles in reasoning, many students were baffled.

of 2 Hours

This time there were major changes made in the paper. The level of the paper was very high as compared to last year. The overall paper was of moderate to difficult level. This time no questions were asked from cloze test, syllogism, inequality, simplification /approximation. Most of the students find English & Reasoning section difficult due to lengthy & tricky nature of questions and sectional timing. The one who has clear basic concepts & done continuous practice could able to crack this exam.
