IBPS conducts the IBPS Clerk for candidates who aspire to be recruited as a clerk in various public sector banks in India. The IBPS Clerk 2017 is an online mode i.e. computer based test. It is a two stage entrance test for recruitment as a Clerk namely Prelims and Mains. There are objective type questions in English and Hindi for each stage of IBPS Clerk exam.
The remaining session of IBPS Clerk is scheduled to be held on December 2017. Total 19 banks have participated in IBPS Clerk recruitment process for around 19,000+ vacancies.

IBPS Clerk aspirants who get shortlisted for the interview round should carry certificates/documents and self-attested Xerox copies for the document verification. Candidates failing to present the required set of documents at the time of interview will be suspended from taking part in the IBPS Clerk Recruitment Process.
The IBPS Clerk Result is declared separately for each stage of the IBPS Clerk exam. The result of preliminary exam of IBPS Clerk 2017 helps the candidate to qualify for the main examination of IBPS Clerk. The candidate who scores marks equivalent to the marks in IBPS Clerk Cut off for main examination qualify for the post of the clerk in the desired bank. The IBPS Clerk Result for Pre exam is expected to be declared in December 2017.
Depending upon the vacancies to be filled in during the FY 2017-18 based on the business needs of the IBPS Participating Organizations, shortlisted candidates will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organizations keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, administrative convenience, etc.
The reserved categories in IBPS Clerk as described in the official notification are as follows:
Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under creamy layer are not liable for reservation. The reserved category candidates are given age relaxation as per the norms of GoI.
