IPPB Recruitment 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Before thinking of applying for the IPPB Post, it is necessary for the candidates to go through the whole IPPB Eligibility Criteria.

The post of Chief Technology Officer requires some criteria that all the interested candidates have to follow. They can go through the following article to know about the same.

On the basis of Nationality

It is important for the candidate to be either

  1. a citizen of India or
  2. a subject of Nepal or
  3. a subject of Bhutan or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  5. person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the interview conducted by IPPB, may be provisionally selected, but on final selection, the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

Please note that the eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for applying for the post.

On the Basis of Age

  • 35 to 55 years.
  • The candidate should be born not before September 2, 1961 and not later than September 1, 1981 (both dates inclusive).

On the Basis of Educational Qualification

  • B.Tech or equivalent from University/ Institution/ Board recognized by the Government of India/ International University of repute (or) approved by a Government Regulatory Body.
  • The candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification as on September 1, 2016. 
  • Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicate the same in online application. 
  • Calculation of Percentage: The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only.
  • The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e.59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%. 

Note: In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University / Institute and web based certificate is issued then proper document / certificate in original issued and signed by the appropriate authority of the University / Institute indication the date of passing properly mentioned thereon will be reckoned for verification and further process.

On the basis of Post Qualification Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience is mandatory.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in banking (or) electronic payment services (or) financial services is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leading the technology department (or) one level below head of technology department is mandatory.

Pay Scale and Contract Period of IPPB Job Post

The candidates are informed that the remuneration or the salary will be offered on CTC basis. Also it will be negotiable based on their qualification and overall suitability for the respective posts.

One should know that the Contract Period for IPPB Post or the term of office of the holder for the post should be for 3 years. Also, the contract can be extended for a further period of 2 years, after reviewing performance annually. 

Note: 1) The contract can be terminated at 1 months’ notice (or surrender of 1 months’ compensation in lieu thereof) on either side.

2) The selected candidates are also informed that they will be posted/ transferred/ moved to other roles at discretion of IPPB to various offices of IPPB from time to time and on such terms and conditions as may be decided by IPPB.

How to Apply for the IPPB Post?

The candidates can apply only for one post. Candidates can apply online only from September 28, 2016 to October 19, 2016 and no other mode of application will be accepted. Applying for the post requires various steps. One can go through all the process mentioned below:

Pre-requisites for Applying Online

Before applying online, it is important for the candidates to scan their photograph and signature as per the specifications. Also, have all the necessary documents and details for online payment. They should also make sure to provide an active as well as a valid mail ID, so that the IPPB will be able to send the call letter on the same.

Note: they should make sure to keep their mail ID secure throughout the IPPB Selection Procedure.

Procedure for Applying Online

The candidates are supposed to follow the following steps to get themselves registered for the post:

  • Login to the IPPB Official Website.
  • Click on ‘Apply online for Chief Technology Office Post’.
  • After clicking, an Online Application Form will appear.
  • Fill in the required details and then a Provisional Number and password will be generated. The candidate is required to note the same for future purposes.
  • The candidates are then supposed to upload their photo as well as their signature as per the requirement.

Note: Candidates are advised to carefully fill the online application themselves as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible / entertained.

Mode of Payment

The payment will be done purely on the Online basis. The candidates are informed that the Application Fee / Intimation Charges is Rupees Seven Hundred Only (Rs. 700/-). Also, this fee is non- refundable.

The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and following the instructions can complete the payment process.

  • The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen.
  • After Final Submission, an additional page of the application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill the requisite details.
  • If the online transaction has not been successfully completed then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the Application Fees/ Intimation Charges online. 
  • On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
  • Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form containing fee details. Please note that if the same cannot be generated online transaction may not have been successful.
  • Non-generation of 'E-Receipt' indicates PAYMENT FAILURE. On failure of payment, Candidates are advised to login again using their Provisional Registration Number and Password and repeat the process of payment.

The candidates are informed that there is a facility to print the application form containing fee details post payment of fees.

IPPB Post Selection Process

  • The selection of the candidate will be based on Short listing and Personal Interview.
  • In Interview: the candidates will be shortlisted by IPPB on the basis of their qualification, experience and overall suitability for Interview. After shortlisting, they will be called out for the Interview through the Call Letter that will be available on the mail ID that they would have provided in the IPPB Application Form.
  • Note: the results of the candidates who have qualified for various stages of the recruitment process and the list of candidates finally selected will be made available on the IPPB website.

Mandatory Documents for IPPB Post

The candidates are supposed to have the following documents in original as well as with a self-attested photocopy. These documents are required so as to support and prove their eligibility and identity at the time of interview.

  • Valid Interview Call Letter Printout 
  • Printout of Online Application Form 
  • Birth Certificate or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB 
  • Photo Identify Proof like Passport or Aadhaar Card 
  • 10th & 12th Mark sheets & certificates for educational qualifications.
  • Work Experience document or certificate. Proof like Salary Slip, Offer letter etc.
  • Candidates serving in Government / quasi govt offices/ Public Sector Undertakings (including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions) are required to produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer at the time of interview, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.

Note: If the candidate fails to produce any document they will not be permitted to appear for the interview. Also, Non-submission of requisite documents by the candidate at the time of interview will debar his/ her candidature from further participation in the recruitment process.
