IOCL is an Indian PSU and our country’s largest commercial enterprise. Its refineries are spread across various locations in India. These include Digboi (Assam), Guwahati (Assam), Bongaigaon (Assam), Barauni (Bihar), Haldia (West Bengal), Vadodara (Gujarat), Mathura (UP), Paradip (Odisha) and Panipat (Haryana).

Trade Apprentice Monthly Stipend
Once after clearing the written exam and personal interview, IOCL pays monthly stipend to the apprentice associates. This monthly stipend offered is as per the official notification released by IOCL - "Consolidated stipend payable will be as per Apprenticeship Rules with an additional amount of INR 2500 Consolidated stipend is subject to the periodic revision in minimum wages as applicable to particular operating location."
Trade Apprentice Age Limit
The age of the unreserved category candidates wishing to apply must be between 18 to 24 years as on January 31, 2018. However, the upper age is relaxed by five years for the SC and ST category candidates, three years for the OBC category candidates, and 10 years for the PwBD category candidates.
Trade Apprentice Educational Qualification Required
For the Secretarial Assistant apprentice, candidates must be passed the B.A., B.Sc or B.Com. course with minimum 55% qualifying marks from any recognized institution or university. The SC, ST and PwBD candidates need to score at least 50% marks in any of these courses.
For Accountant apprentice, they must be passed B.Com. with minimum 55% qualifying marks from any recognized institution or university. The SC, ST and PwBD candidates need to score at least 50% marks in this course.
Candidates need to follow the simple steps listed below to submit the online application for the IOCL Recruitment 2018 for apprenticeship:
IOCL has some pre-defined rules for selecting the candidates from the whole lot that has applied. Selection process for the vacancy of apprentices is solely based on the written test which has a weightage of 85% and the personal interview of 15% weightage.
Those candidates who manage to qualify the written test conducted by IOCL will be eligible for the personal interview round. On the basis of their personal interview, they would be selected to get listed on the merit list by considering their aggregate marks in both the stages.
The unreserved category candidates must score at least 40% marks in each of the mentioned two stages. The least qualifying marks for the SC, ST and PwBD students is 5%.
