KVPY EXAM is a national level exam conducted by IISC banglore for scholarship upto PrePhd level, the selection is done on the basis of Aptitude test followed by interview. The students qualifying this exam are eligible for a fellowship as well as admission into premier science institutes like IISc and IISER,depending on some additional criteria.The exam consist of 3 streams
1- SA (class 11th)
2-SX (class 12th)
3-SB (First year of BSc)
Both aptitude (75%) and interveiw (25%) are considered to grant scholarship.

The details of the paper analysis will be available once the paper has been conducted. On the basis of the past year’s trends following observation can be made for KVPY paper analysis for 2020:
KVPY exam can be given by students who fall in one of the following categories after reading the details of the cut off:
SA- students of science stream in class 11 studying, have not given the final exams yet.
SX- students of science stream in class 12, who have not given the final exams yet.
SB- students who are in the first year of their graduation, have not appeared for the final year examination and are studying any science program are counted under the category.
KVPY 2020 cut off will be released in two stages as KVPY selection process involves two stages. KVPY cut off will be applicable for admission to class XI, XII and undergraduate programs. These are termed as SA, SB and SX respectively.
IISc Banglore will declare the KVPY cut off separately for the applicants who have the minimum percentage for registering for the entrance test. This will be followed by second cut off list which will contain the details of the final cut off percentage, which is released after the final interview is over.
Every year the list is released by IISc before the exam is conducted, so that students who clear the minimum cut off can apply for the seats by filling the application form.
