UPSC is going to start the application process for the UPSC ESE on its official website tomorrow.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the recruitment drive for the Engineering Services. The commission conducts the Engineering Services Exam (ESE) annually for the recruitment of gazetted posts for the engineers in various departments.

ESE is now known as Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam that recruits IES Officers in various governmental departments like public works, power, and telecommunications, railways, roads, defence and others.
The engineering candidates are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates generally belonging to streams such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and Communication are welcomed by the commission.
However, the candidates must check their eligibility criteria as per the official notification before applying for the UPSC ESE (IES) exam. The official notification along with the application form will be released on the official website tomorrow.

The candidates must check their eligibility criteria before applying for the UPSC ESE (IES) exam. Detailed eligibility criteria including educational as well as age requirements will be provided in the official notification. However, the basic eligibility criteria for the UPSC ESE Exam is provided below.
Physical Criteria: The candidate should be medically fit during the medical examination.
Educational Qualifications: The candidate should have obtained a degree in Engineering from any recognised university or must possess an equivalent qualification as of the last date of the application.
Age limit: The candidate must be at least 21 years old and must not have attained 30 years of age as of January 1, 2021. Thus, the candidates must not have been born earlier than January 2, 1991, and not later than January 1, 2021.
The interested and eligible candidates need to apply for the ESE (IES) exam via the UPSC website. The candidates must register themselves on the official UPSC site and fill up their application form. Candidates are further advised to go through the official UPSC notification for more details.
