Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the scores of non-recommended candidates of the Indian Engineering Services (IES) Exam/Engineering Services Exam (ESE) 2019. The commission has released the scores of non-recommended candidates after the completion of the IES exams 2020. This is because any of the private or public entities can recruit these non-recommended candidates for job opportunities. However, it is still unknown how many candidates have got the job regarding these scores. A total of 717 non-recommended candidate's marks were released by UPSC for all the four engineering branches. And the most number of candidates were from the Civil Engineering Branch. Every year, UPSC releases the marks of those non-recommended candidates, which is valid for a period of one year for the public disclosure.

On October 25, 2020, UPSC released the IES results 2019, while the appointment reserve lists were released on October 15, 2020. UPSC had recommended 56 candidates under the IES Exam 2019 in the released reserve list. Further, A personality test for ESE/IES Exam 2019 was held on September-October 2019 by the commission. The IES prelims exam was conducted on January 6, 2019, in two shifts while the IES main exams 2019 were held on June 30, 2019, at 24 exam centres across the country.
