October 16, 2020: The Union Public Service Commission has released the official notice recommending the reserve list candidates for IES Exam 2019. The official notification states the category wise breakup of unreserved candidates for 18 seats, other backward classes for 34 seats, and scheduled tribe candidates for 4 seats.
After receiving requisition from the Ministry of Railway, UPSC started the recommendation of candidates from the IES 2019 reserve list. The recommendation made by UPSC is provisional. The reserve list has been maintained in order of merit list below the last recommended candidates.
IES Prelims examination 2019 was conducted on January 6, for eligible candidates across the nation. IES mains examination 2019 was conducted on June 30, 2019. The exam was held in 24 centers across the country.
Engineering Services Examination 2019 personality test was later conducted in the month of September and October 2019. The result declaration for the IES 2019 exam was done on October 25, 2019.

As per the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recommendation, 494 candidates were recommended from IES 2019 result. Now, the UPSC has recommended 56 candidates for the same making it a total of 550 candidates who passed the IES 2019 examination.
In September 2018, the IES examination was announced for 581 vacancies. After the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recommendation, there are 637 vacancies available for IES 2019 candidates. The document verification process for provisional aspirants will be done by UPSC. An appointment letter will be issued to selected candidates after completion of the document verification process.
The students who are selected provisionally for the seats must submit their requisite certifications for the verification process in three months.
