  • Indian Engineering Services (IES) is a national level test for recruitment of candidates to various engineering jobs.
  • Candidates can log into the official website of UPSC and can access the results after it.
  • UPSC does not release any scorecard for the candidates.
  • Result for the prelim exam is available in the 1st week of January and for the Main exam, it is declared in the month of August.

IES 2019 Result Date

UPSC announces the results for IES every year in the 1st week of January 2019 for the prelim round and the further admission process is followed by it. Here are few important dates for the exam-

How to Check IES 2019 Results:

IES Result can be easily accessed after entering your login ID and Password. Step-wise process to obtain IES 2019 results is given as follows-

  • Log onto the official website of UPSC
  • Choose the EXAMINATION option from the panel above. Click on the ACTIVE EXAMINATION option that comes in the drop-down list.
  • Click on the link which says “Engineering Service Examination 2019”.
  • Click on the link and then it will open in a new window in PDF format
  • Click control + F at once and enter your roll number and search for your marks.
  • The results can be downloaded by clicking download on the right-hand upper corner

Candidates should make note that there is NO scorecard released by the conducting body.

IES 2019 Answer Key

Candidates can download the official answer key from the official website of Union Public service commission as UPSC RELEASES the answer keys for the engineering service examination.

Following are the steps to download it-

  • Log onto the official website of UPSC
  • Chose the EXAMINATION option from the panel above. Click on the ANSWER KEY option that comes in the drop down list.
  • Year wise Examination Answer Key will be listed on the page
  • Check “Engineering Services Examination 2019”
  • All the subjects and papers will be listed with a link to redirect.
  • Candidates can click on the link to the respective papers to view and download the answer key.

Cutoff scores for IES 2019 will be prepared by the Union Public Service Commission and can be checked online through the website.

Candidates obtaining the minimum required cutoff marks will be shortlisted for the next round. After the announcement of the IES Result 2019, the cutoff marks will be released by UPSC.

The shortlisted candidates then appear for personal interview rounds. The table below represents the expected IES Cut off.

IES 2019 Merit List

IES 2018 Merit List will be prepared and declared by UPSC on its official website. The merit list will be based on the total marks secured by the applicants in both Preliminary and Mains Examination.

On the basis of the total, the eligibility for the Personality Test (Interview) will be determined.
