UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) released a notification in regard to the eligibility criteria and application process for the Central Armed Police Forces examination 2020. 

The notification released by UPSC stated about directions to apply for the UPSC CAPF 2020 examination and who are eligible to take the exam. There are various phases to shortlist the final candidates. The application process was started on August 18, 2020. The last date to apply for the exam was September 7, 2020. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 20.

UPSC Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Exam 2020: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for applying for the post are listed below:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India. Any outsider or person who is not categorized as an Indian citizen will not be considered for the application process
  • There are various eligibility conditions in terms of age. Firstly, A candidate must be between 20-24 years of age (He must not have attained 25 years of age). 
  • In the age criteria, the conditions are modified for SC/ST/OBC/ Civilian Central Government Servants/ex-servicemen. Relaxation of a maximum of 5 years, 3 years, and 5 years are provided to SC/ST, OBC, and CCG servants.
  • Applicants must have attained a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized University. 

UPSC Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Exam 2020: How to Apply for the Exam

Candidates must follow these steps to register for the exam:

  • Visit the official website
  • Download the application form using the link of the form.
  • The two-page online application form will ask for various details. Fill them and attach the files and upload the same. 
  • After filling the form, pay the application fee of Rs. 200. However, SC/ST/Female candidates are not required to pay the application fee.

It is advisable to avoid the submission of multiple entries. If by any chance there is an irrecoverable error, then the candidate can fill and submit another form. The authority provided the facility of withdrawing applications also.

Through this, a candidate can take back their application. The withdrawal window was opened from September 14 to 20. Also, in this process duplicate records will be canceled automatically. The latest duplicate entries were forfeited and the earliest one was considered for further evaluation.
