State Bank of India recruits suitable contestants for the posts of Specialist Officers. There are many vacancies and the selection depends on the SBI SO online test, Personal Interview and experience of Candidate. The post of Specialist Cadre provides great opportunity for career advancement.

  • Shortlisted candidates, depending upon their post, have been allotted Date, Time and Place for the interview.
  • Interview procedure will start on June 15, 2017.
  • They must bring all the relevant documents (especially their admit card) and only after verifying all the documents, Personal Interview will take place.
  • Candidates must bring No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their previous work place (Government and Private)
  • SBI SO will generate merit list on the basis of the scores obtained by candidates in the interview and if two candidates will have an equal score, then selection will be on the basis of age (older in age will be given more preference) and experience.

Special Cadre posts are regular as well as contractual (3 years minimum) and salary will be in accordance with their Grades. Posting of candidate will be done in Navi Mumbai and the allotment of the bank will depend upon the Bank’s requirement.

Interview Process

Shortlisted Candidates will be called for an interview and depending upon their post, date and time will vary.

  • Interview process will take place at State Bank of India, GITC, Sector 11, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai 400614.
  • Candidature will be subjected to verification of details/documents when candidate will report for an interview.
  • In case of any discrepancy, Candidate will be disqualified.
  • Questions (Basic and related to work) will be asked during the Personal interview (PI) and depending upon the performance, their educational qualification and experience, merit list will be generated.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will be decided by the bank.
  • SBI SO merit list will be prepared in descending order on the basis of the scores obtained by candidates in the interview.
  • In case, if 2 or more candidates score the same marks, then candidates having older age will be preferred.
  • Appointment of selected candidates is subject to his /her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.
  • If their Roll number will be mentioned in the list it means that they had qualified the SBI SO interview and the qualified candidates will later be called for the training session.

Documents Required During Interview

Candidate must carry all the useful documents because all the documents will be verified first and if he will be found ineligible or in case of any discrepancy, Candidate will be disqualified.

Important Instructions

  • Candidates must carry all the important documents during the interview because document verification will be followed by interview and chances are,  in case candidate will not bring or forget to bring any useful document, he will not be able to give his interview.
  • Candidates must come on the allotted time. Latecomers will not be entertained.
  • Candidates serving in Government offices  and Public Sectors  including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions  are  advised to submit 'No Objection Certificate' from their employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses will not be paid.

SBI SO Recruitment Vacancies (Specialist Cadre)

The post of Chief Manager will be on the Regular basis i.e. his job will be permanent. All the other Special Cadre positions will be contractual and will be of 3 years duration and extendable at the option of the Bank.

SBI Specialist Cadre Officers Salary / Pay Scale

Scale of pay applicable to different positions (Regular and contract Basis) are furnished below.
Pay Scale : 50030-1460/4- 55870-1650/2- 59170
The officials will also be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributory Pension Fund and perquisites as admissible to the corresponding grade etc. As per rules in force from time to time the total compensation per annum would be approximately Rs.21.78 lacs.
CONTRACTUAL POSITIONS (DSA, Business analyst, Analyst, WAS administrator, UX Designer, IT Risk Manager, Data warehouse Architect): The compensation package (CTC) will comprise of fixed and variable components but not a limiting factor for a suitable candidate.
