The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts various central level examinations for the appointment of Class-I and II gazetted officers in various departments. The civil services exam is one of the most popular exams amongst UPSC aspirants.
The UPSC conducts the civil services exams for the appointment of officers for some of the popular posts such as IRS, IAS, IPS, etc. Every year thousands of candidates apply for the exam but only a few are able to crack it. It is considered one of the hardest examinations in India.
Recently, the UPSC had declared the results of the Civil Services Mains exam on its official site that was conducted in March 2021. The candidates who had cleared the Mains exam were called for personal interviews, and the dates of the personal interviews were also declared by the commission.
Also, the commission had declared to pay the ‘to’ and ‘fro’ flight charges for the candidates appearing for the exam from different locations. However, the Covid-19 cases are increasing exponentially nowadays and due to which many examinations have been postponed.
Keeping in view the safety of the candidates, the commission has also postponed the UPSC Civil Services Interview. The commission has released an interview postponement notice on its official site.
The candidates appearing for the UPSC Civil Services Interview round must read this official notice displayed on the UPSC website. The official notice read that - “Interviews of the Civil Services Examination, 2020 (scheduled from 26.04.2021 to 18.06.2021) are postponed till further orders. Fresh dates will be informed in due course”.
Thus, the candidates are advised to monitor the UPSC official site on regular basis to get more information about the new dates of the UPSC Civil Services Interviews.
