January 10, 2021: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has successfully conducted the Paper V General Studies-IV of the UPSC IAS Mains 2020-21 Exam today, i.e on January 10, 2021 from 2 PM to 5 PM. UPSC has been conducting the UPSC IAS Mains 2020-21 Exam from January 8 and it will be continued till January 17, 2021 in 2 shifts, from 9 AM to 12 noon, and 2 PM to 5 PM. There are a total of 9 theory papers in the UPSC IAS Mains 2020-21 Exam, out of which 7 papers will be counted under merit and 2 optional papers will be qualifying in nature. Candidates have to choose any one of the optional papers for the UPSC Civil Service Mains 2020-21 Exam.

UPSC IAS Mains 2020-21 Exam: Paper V General Studies-IV 

UPSC conducted the paper V or General Studies-IV of the UPSC IAS Mains 2020-21 Exam today from 2 PM to 5 PM in the afternoon shift. Questions in the General Studies-IV were taken from the syllabus which are as follows, 

  • Ethics 
  • Aptitude 
  • Integrity

UPSC IAS Mains General Studies-IV 2020-21 Exam: Exam Analysis 

Candidates who have appeared for the UPSC IAS Mains 2020-21 for the General Studies-IV paper can check the exam analysis for the same below. The GS-IV paper is divided in Section A and B and the second section consists of case studies.

  • The case studies appeared quite lengthy in the paper.
  • Though the questions were easy to moderate, it was quite tricky nevertheless and the length of the paper alongside the time limit was a problem for many candidates.
