UPSC IAS 2021 Application: Important Points To Be Remembered

All the applicants are advised to catch the below-mentioned important points to avoid any mistakes in the UPSC IAS 2021 application form.

  • First of all, collect all the required documents such as Adhaar card, Marksheets etc. to avoid hassle during the application process.
  • The application form should be filled in a personal computer with an updated browser (Chrome or Firefox preferred). Also, make sure your internet connection is stable to avoid any kind of session error during the procedure.
  • Candidates should scan all the important documents that are to be uploaded online using a good quality scanner. However, applicants can also scan the documents using scanning apps such as Adobe Scan using their smartphone.
  • Note: The document scanned using smartphones should be clear and readable. Avoid   taking blurry, over-exposed or under-exposed images. Such images can result in disqualification from the exam.

  • The photograph should be clear with a white or solid background. Also, make sure you are not wearing any of the accessory fashion items in the photographs such as fancy goggles, cap, hat etc.
  • The signature should be done on plain white paper with a black or blue pen.
  • The signature and photograph should be in JPEG/JPG format with 20kb to 300kb file size.
  • Keep your bank details handy that are needed during the payment of fees. Also, make sure that the mobile number registered with your bank account is accessible to receive OTP which is required to initiate the fee payment.
  • A valid photo ID proof such as Adhaar Card (Preferred), Voter ID Card, Pan Card, Driving Licence etc. is required during the application process. Such proof should also be uploaded along with the photograph and signature.
  • Utmost care should be taken while filling up the UPSC IAS 2021 application form. All the details filled in should be verified a minimum of three times before submitting.
  • After filling up the UPSC IAS 2021 application form, download a copy of the Registration form, Application form and Payment receipt and save them for future references.
