The Union Public Service Commission has released the IAS exam admit card for Prelims 2020 on September 1, 2020. The candidates can download the admit card from the official website easily. You have to enter your registered login credentials to access the individual admit card and the take a print out of the same for the exam. The exam is scheduled for October 4, 2020 in pen and paper mode. This is the gateway to IAS, IPS, IFS and many other Group A jobs in the public sector. For UPSC IAS Mains 2020, it is expected that the admit card will be tentatively released on December 15, 2020 and the exam will be conducted on January 8, 2021.

On the admit card the name of the candidate, roll number, parent’s name, exam time, venue, exam date, exam day instructions are some of the important things that will be mentioned. It is essential to check the admit card thoroughly and in case there is any mistake, notify the exam conducting authority at the earliest for correction. On the exam day, the candidates have to bring a passport sized photo and a copy of any government approved ID proof to the center. This is mandatory. Also read- IAS selection process

To download the admit card, the candidates must follow the steps shared below:

  • Visit the official website of
  • Login into the website using your registration number and password. You can also use your date of birth and the password.
  • Once you login to your account, the admit card will be there on display and you can download and copy and then take a printout of the same.
  • In case you have forgotten the RID, then you have to click on the relevant tab and then enter the credentials like your parent’s name, date of birth and your name.
  • The registration ID and new password will be sent on your registered email and phone number and then you can follow the conventional steps to download the admit card.
  • In case your account is blocked by UPSC for any reason, immediately mail at to unblock the account.
  • For admit card correction, candidates have to mail a copy of the admit card, showing the error and their application form at the earliest to UPSC and the corrected version will be sent back.
