Gujarati is the official language in the state of Gujarat, as well as an official language in the union territories of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. In IAS Mains exam there are 2 optional papers. You can choose Gujarati language as an optional subject if you have graduated in the literature of Gujarati language as the main subject. With well-planned strategies, you can easily score well in the Gujarati literature. Interest should be the prime criteria for choosing any optional.

IAS Mains Gujarati Paper Pattern

Each Gujarati paper consists of 250 marks. The duration for each Gujarati mains paper is 3 hours.
