January 15, 2021: Department of Personnel & Training has released the IAS Cadre Allocation list for the UPSC 2019 Exam on January 13, 2021, for selected candidates to check and download on its official website at @cseplus.nic.in.
The Department of Personnel allocates IAS cadres during the training period of qualified candidates at their training academies. DoPT releases the IAS cadre list during the training period so that selected candidates can attend field training in their allotted states.

Additionally, there is no guarantee over the allotment of candidates to their home state cadre. Cadres are allocated based on insider vacancy in the state and the roaster.
The IAS Rank 1 candidate can only be sure of his/her state cadre, and there is no surety over the state cadres of the rest rank holders.
