Important Guidelines for DMRC Maintainer Exam

DMRC Maintainer (Fitter, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic and Ref & AC Mechanic) exam will be an online mode exam. The Corporation has released a total number of 1393 vacancies for this post. Candidates have to carry original id-proof and two or three copies of DMRC admit card to the examination hall. Check DMRC Maintainer Exam 2018

  • This year a total number of 42069 candidates applied for the post.
  • The online exam for the Maintainer post will contain 180 objective type questions which are supposed to be solved by clicking on the radio button before the correct choice.
  • The marking scheme for the exam will be 1 mark for the correct answer and 1/3 for the incorrect answer.
  • The candidates can complete their prepare process by solving the mock test papers provided by the DMRC.
  • The salary will be INR 8000-14140.

DMRC Exam Highlights

DMRC exam is scheduled in online mode in two or three different shifts. There will be two kinds of papers in the online mode – 

  • The candidates can answer the question by recording the correct choice. It contains 120 questions.
  • Paper-I is technical or aptitude test and Paper II is general English.
  • There are 75 questions from Technical/Professional syllabus and 20 questions from General Awareness, 5 questions from Numerical Ability, 10 questions from logical ability and Reasoning and 10 questions from General English.

DMRC Exam Day Instructions

  • Candidates must be present at the test centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the e-Admit card.
  • Candidates should register their name at the registration counter and carry the e-Admit card and a valid ID proof for verification.
  • They should also sign the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator. Biometric registration is a part of attendance and hall ticket verification process and DMRC reserves the right to carry out the same either before or during the examination
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any text material, printed, or written, bits of papers or any material except the e-Admit card inside the test hall.
  • Candidates are not permitted to carry any electronic devices like mobile phones, paging devices, calculators, spy cameras etc.
  • Candidates are not allowed to leave the test hall till the completion of the entire duration of the exam time. 
  • Candidates must ensure that the computer allotted to them is switched on and if there is any problem with the computer, it should be informed to the invigilator immediately.
  • The questions appearing on the screen will be in English. All questions will be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type.

Documents Required on Exam Day

Candidates will not be permitted to appear for the test without DMRC Maintainer Admit Card 2018. They must also carry any one of the below-mentioned documents as an identity proof:

  1. Photocopy of DMRC Maintainer Application Form 2018
  2. Anyone of the following, for photo identification:
Aadhar Card Voter ID PAN Card
Driving License Passport Any passbook of any of the nationalized bank

Note: Candidates are not allowed to carry any items other than the documents mentioned above to the examination hall.
